The welds and finish are superior and there were no missing parts or hardware. This unit is more than strong enough to hold the lathe steady. It is well made of box beams and channel iron. Good addition to the shop. Ps: I griped about the cost of the extension bar to accomodate the lathe extension I also bought, but it was also well made and allows me to turn much longer pieces.
The assembly instructions could have been better(the only negative I have here). The Jet was my first and only choice.The mini stand is a sold well built item. I have always been a fan with Jet products, so the decision to downsize my work area due to space constrictions. One page pic of stand on one side,exploded schematic on the other. Dont let the price scare you off on this. Actually they offer this item on sale for $107 every so oftenwith free super saving shipping, which I was lucky to get.Assembly time under an hour.
